What we do during a Performance Tune-Up:

Performance Furnace Tune-Up & Safety Inspection

  • Replace 1” disposable air filter standard sizes only, if washable clean with water
  • Lubricate moving parts as required
  • Clean main & pilot burners as required
  • Clean blower motor, wheel & housing
  • Tighten electrical connections
  • Check for proper air combustion
  • Inspect vent pipe
  • Check system for proper temp rise
  • Test for carbon monoxide leaks
  • Check fan and limit switch operation
  • Check thermostat calibration
  • Clean condensate drain (if condensing furnace)
  • Test condensate pump (if condensing furnace)
  • Visually inspect ductwork

Performance Air Conditioner Tune-Up & Safety Inspection

  • Replace 1” disposable air filter standard sizes only, if washable clean with water
  • Lubricate moving parts as required
  • Clean blower motor, wheel & housing
  • Tighten electrical connections, check volts & amps of all loads
  • Check run capacitors for distribution or leakage
  • Inspect evaporator coil if accessible
  • Measure evaporator TD
  • Clean condenser coil (no chemicals included)
  • Check thermostat calibration
  • Clean condensate drains
  • Test condensate pump
  • Visually inspect ductwork

Performance Heat Pump Tune-Up

  • Replace 1” disposable air filter standard sizes only, if washable clean with water
  • Lubricate moving parts as required
  • Clean blower motor, wheel & housing
  • Tighten electrical connections, check volts and amps of all loads
  • Check run capacitors for distribution or leakage
  • Inspect evaporator coil if accessible
  • Measure evaporator TD
  • Clean condenser coil (no chemicals included)
  • Check thermostat calibration
  • Clean condensate drains
  • Test condensate pump
  • Inspect strip heat & check operation
  • Check reversing valve operation
  • Check defrost cycle if circuit board has override
  • Visually inspect ductwork
